A little rambling. . . and a song
Okay, so I wanted a blog to keep all of you guys posted on what I'm doing in my life. However, tonight I'm feeling slightly introspective and am about to ramble about very introspective-ish things. So like, in my original plan for this upcoming fall, I would be heading to Northland on Friday for the fall semester. However, this was not in God's plan. Which surprised me actually. I thought I would be wanting to stay home and God would be pushing me back to Northland. The reality is quite the opposite. I'm supposed to stay here and I'm very much wanting to go back.
Kathleen and Ed already left. (They get to be room leaders. . . ) And Amy leaves tomorrow. I know that God has a plan, and He has shown me QUITE clearly (through a great variety of circumstances) that His plan for me right now is to be here at home working. And while I know that in my head, it's a little hard for my emotions and desires to realize that as well. =)
So enough rambling. Here are some excellent song lyrics. I love them! Hope you enjoy also.
Wonderful, merciful Savior
Precious Redeemer and friend
Who would have thought that a lamb could
Rescue the souls of men
Oh, You rescue the souls of men
Counselor, Comforter, Keeper
Spirit we long to embrace
You offer hope when our hearts have
Hopelessly lost the way
Oh, we hopelessly lost the way
You are the one that we praise
You are the one we adore
You give the healing and grace
Our hearts always hunger for
Oh, our hearts always hunger for
Almighty, infinite Father
Faithfully loving Your own
Here in our weakness You find us
Falling before Your throne
Oh, we're falling before Your throne
You are the one that we praise
You are the one we adore
You give the healing and grace
Our hearts always hunger for
Oh, our hearts always hunger for

Road Trip
So. . . yesterday evening I got home from a week of travels. Monday (the 21st) I headed to Indy to see my good friend Amy Carrier. After spending a few days with Ames, I headed to Independence, MO to see my favorite campus parents and their new baby, Taylor!!! I was SOOOOO excited to finally meet Taylor. (I had only been waiting for like, 6 months. =D ) The trip was great fun and I am so glad that I was able to go.Here are some pics. . .
And here is Taylor!!
Wow. Very pleased with myself for figuring out this simple thing called blogging. Yike. Sometimes I struggle. =)
